Legendary LS3/5a

The legendary LS3/5a is still spoken about in reverential tones; impressive for a loudspeaker from the 1970s. The legendary studio monitor was inspired by KEF drivers and designed at the BBC. It was renowned for delivering accurate precise sound for the recording and broadcast industry.

First generation of LS50

The LS50 was created to celebrate our 50th anniversary. With numerous technological breakthroughs, LS50 took the original LS3/5a studio monitor concept and brought it into the living room. In 2017, we introduced LS50 Wireless using the LS50 platform and brings hifi sound to the digital lifestyle.

Design by Simon Davies and KEF Industrial Design Team

Simon Davies led the KEF Industrial Design Team from 2000 through to 2018. He was responsible for key product designs including LS50 and LS50 Wireless, The Reference and R Series. Since 2018, Simon has acted as a design consultant for KEF, and continues to work very closely with the KEF Industrial Design Team.
