Coda W Setup Guide: Connect to Bluetooth, TV & Computer

So whether you’re playing vinyl records, watching your favourite TV show, gaming, or streaming music from your phone, your Coda W will bring immersive sound experiences right to your living room. 

 


01. Stream your favourite music with Bluetooth

Play your favourite music, podcasts, or audio content straight from your device. With Bluetooth, Coda W makes streaming easy and delivers immersive sound for any moment.

  • Switch the source to Bluetooth using the control panel, remote control, or KEF Connect App
  • The Bluetooth icon pulses white, indicating the speakers are ready to pair
  • Turn on Bluetooth on your device and select "KEF Coda W"
  • Once paired, the Bluetooth icon will turns solid white
  • The LED will turn solid blue and dim when the connection is made

02. Connect to your turntable

Rediscover the warm layers and rich textures of vinyl records. Your Coda W is turntable-ready, featuring an integrated phono preamp that connects directly to almost any turntable without the need for additional equipment.

Plugging in with RCA cable:
1. Connect your turntable to the PHONO input (marked as “H”), 
2. Attach the ground wire to the GND terminal (marked “G”) by loosening the screw, placing the wire underneath, and tightening it.

Choose the right mode: 
3. Switch the source to PHN using the control panel, remote control, or KEF Connect App
4. The LED turns light purple and dims when the connection is made


03. Connect to your TV

Just because TVs are getting thinner doesn’t mean your sound should too. Coda W is the perfect addition to your home theatre set-up . A compact, all-in-one speaker system, it delivers balanced sound in high resolution.

Plugging in with HDMI cable:
1. Connect the HDMI cable to the TV input (marked as “TV”)
2. HDMI CEC compatibility lets you control volume with your TV remote

Choose the right mode:
1. Switch the source to TV using the control panel, remote control or KEF Connect App
2. The LED turns cyan and dims when the connection is made

 

04. Connect to your computer

Whether you're working, gaming, or streaming, Coda W delivers immersive sound that enhances every experience. Featuring a USB Type-C input, it supports high-resolution audio decoding up to 24-bit/192kHz—bringing high-fidelity sound to your desktop.

Plugging in:
1. Connect the USB cable to the USB input (marked as “U”)
2. Select "KEF Coda W" as the output device from your computer

Choose the right mode: 
3. Switch the source to USB using the control panel, remote control or KEF Connect App
4. The LED turns pink and dims when the connection is made


05. Connect to your CD or Blu-ray player

Relive your favourite albums and movies with Coda W. Whether your player uses Optical or RCA output, connecting is simple, and the sound is anything but ordinary. Choose the connection method that matches your device:

If your device uses Optical output:
1. Connect the optical cable to the OPT input (marked as “O”)
2. Switch the source to OPT using the control panel, remote control or KEF Connect App  3. The LED turns magenta and dims when the connection is made   

If your device uses RCA output:

  • Connect the RCA cable to the AUX input (marked as “X”)
  • Switch the source to AUX using the control panel, remote control or KEF Connect App
  • The LED turns yellow and dims when the connection is made


06. Connect to your subwoofer

Subwoofers give us deep, low bass. Feel the rumble whether you’re watching a movie, playing a game or listening to your favourite playlist. Discover our subwoofers here . To connect, simply plug the RCA cable into the SUB output (marked as “SUB”) on the back of your Primary Speaker.
